About Assets
Assets are the building blocks of your financial portfolio.
Assets represent the various types of financial holdings or investments that you may own. These could include cash accounts, savings accounts, stocks, bonds, real estate properties, vehicles, digital assets, and other assets as explained in predefined assets.
Each asset is identified by its unique characteristics, such as its type, currency denomination, ownership status, liquidity, yield, maturity, and any additional notes or details provided by the user.
Users can log their protfolio's progress by creating, managing, and tracking their assets, including adding new assets, updating existing ones, or deleting outdated or sold assets as their financial portfolio evolves over time.
The various financial transactions and activities that occur within the user's portfolio of assets are defined as activity records. Assets and activity records are interconnected within the FinancialAha app's data structure, enabling users to view, analyze, and manage their financial portfolio comprehensively.
Users can navigate between assets and activity records seamlessly, accessing detailed information about individual assets and transaction history, as well as visualizations that display aggregated information about asset balances, transaction summaries, income vs. expenses, asset allocation to provide users with a holistic view of their financial status and progress towards their goals.
