Asset Details
Use Asset Details to increase the complexity and accuracy of your financial analysis and projections.
About The Asset
In Asset Details you can see the most defining information about the selected asset. This information identifies the asset, shows the value and some quick performance indicators. Here is also the place where you can choose to delete an asset altogether.
- Name: The name given by you to the selected asset. This name is editable at any time.
- Market Value: For newly added assets, this value is the value you initially entered. For older assets, it is the latest market value if an update was made. The market value of an asset can be updated by adding a new Activity Record under the Records tab, or when using the Log Progress feature.
- ROI: Return on Investment includes dividends and other profits. ROI is a financial metric used to evaluate the profitability or efficiency of an investment relative to its cost.
- ARR: The Annualized Rate of Return is a measure used to calculate the average annual return on an investment over a period of one year, expressed as a percentage.
- Delete Asset: Here is the place where the action to delete the selected asset. Deleting an asset does not refer to selling or liquidating an asset. If you wish to sell an asset, then create a Sell Activity Record under the Records tab.
Meta Details
The Meta Details provide additional information about an asset, besides the asset’s name and value. Depending on the asset type, some assets will have all the details below, while other assets will only have part of them.
- Currency: Indicates the currency denomination in which the asset is valued or traded. It specifies the monetary unit used for measuring the value, returns, or transactions records associated with the asset.
- Ownership: Denotes the legal ownership status of the asset, indicating the individual, or entity that holds title, possession, or control over the asset. It provides information about who owns or has rights to the asset.
- Liquidable: This field indicates whether the asset can be easily converted into cash or liquidated without significant delay, cost, or difficulty. It assesses the asset’s liquidity, or the ease with which it can be bought or sold in the market.
- Yield: Represents the rate of return or income generated by the asset over a period of one year, expressed as a percentage of the asset’s value.
- Maturity: Specifies the maturity date or duration of the asset, indicating the time at which the asset’s term, contract, or investment period expires or reaches completion. It is relevant for assets with fixed-term obligations or contractual agreements.
- Yield Frequency: This field indicates the frequency at which the asset’s yield or income is generated and distributed to the owner. It specifies whether the yield is paid annually, bi-annually, quarterly, monthly, or bi-monthly.
- Notes: This field allows you to include any pertinent notes or observations regarding the asset’s characteristics, performance, or other relevant factors that may be relevant for tracking, analysis, or decision-making purposes.
Market Value Analysis
A visual representation of the asset’s value tracing the fluctuations in the asset’s market value over the 12-month period, illustrating its price movements, trends, and patterns.
Peaks and valleys in the line indicate periods of price appreciation or depreciation, while the overall direction of the line provides insights into the asset’s performance and trajectory.
Cash Flow
The graphic depicts the historical evolution of the cash flow generated by the selected asset over the past 12 months. It includes the income and expenses associated with the asset during this period.
Records
In the Records tab you can see the entire history of Activity Records that are linked with the selected asset. You can also create new record entries to track progress and record updates.
Historical View
The historical data of an asset includes all the details and views mentioned above recorded at a specific date in the past instead of today.
